We finally got some cooler weather here in Texas this week so I pulled out some Christmas stamps and worked on an idea I got from my upline. I love embossing folders and this one was a blast to play with. I think I will do it again in red because I'd love to add my red satin ribbon to the top.
Stamps: Northern Hearts, Contempo Christmas
Ink: Versamark, Night of Navy
Tools: Northern Flurry embossing folder, heat tool
Other: silver embossing folder, very vanilla ribbon

Longing for fall...
One of the big things I miss about living further north is fall and all the beautiful colors it brings. It is still hot and humid here in Texas, but this paper gives me a little taste of what I'm missing. I used this tutorial and made this adorable bag as a door prize for an upcoming workshop. I'm not sure if I want to fill it with candy or some craft supplies, but one lucky person will find out soon what I decide.
Stamps: Day of Gratitude
Paper: Autumn Spice DSP, Cajun Craze, Mustard, Very Vanilla
Ink: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, More Mustard
Tools: Scallop Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch

I'm still alive!
Don't you hate it when your real job interferes with the job you LOVE? I finally found some time to craft this week and wanted to share a couple of projects with you. These are two of the lunch box notes I designed for my upcoming class. It was my first time using two of the new colors, Blushing Bride and Early Espresso. Love them!
I saw these cute treat bags on a few other websites and of course I had to make some for myself! :) I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and his endless patience! He made a funnel for me to use to get the candy in the bag and it made them so simple to make. I can't wait to make up more of them for Halloween and Christmas.

Umm....
Can you believe it??? I got to meet Shelli at regionals yesterday! Woo Hoo! It was such an exciting day and if you ever have a chance to go, either as a demonstrator or guest, do it! I had a blast to say the least! I'll post more about it later and include some pictures of my favorite swaps and display boards.

Owl Love
I saw this awesome card by Crystal and had to take a shot at making one like it. I updated it with current paper (Woodland Walk), changed the leaves (Little Leaves Sizzlit), and added a sentiment. Adorable, huh? Now I need to find someone getting married so I can send it out!
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Garden Green, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Real Red, Woodland Walk DSP
Ink: Wild Wasabi

Wicked Sketch Challenge
Another great website for Stampin' Up! ideas is Stampin' Addicts. This is the sketch from the weekly sketch challenged hosted there. Below is the card I came up with; what do you think? I am in a fall/Halloween kind of mood lately and I LOVE the Wicked Cool stamp set and Wicked Fun DSP. They pair so well together and make it easier to come up with great cards!
A New Technique: Faux Silk
Can you see the detail here? I used a new technique this week called Faux Silk. It gave me a chance to use my aqua painter and color using the ink pads. Baja Breeze is a new color for me and I have to say, I love it. I paired my colored image with some designer series paper and the Mojo Monday sketch again and here is what I ended up with:
I'm not sure I love the wideness of the ribbon, but it was the only Baja Breeze ribbon I found in my stash. I'm going to leave it for now, but I might end up changing to it to some Daffodil Delight ribbon.
Stamps: Awash with Flowers
Ink: Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Baja Breeze, Daffodil Delight, Brights Designer Series paper stack, Greenhouse Gala DSP, Whisper White, tissue paper
Accessories: Baja Breeze ribbon (retired)
Tools: circle punches, scallop circle punch
Technique: Faux Silk
