It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the fabulous Karren at
Freshly Made Sketches! After many failed attempts, I finally got something I could post today. I don't know what is going on, but I can't seem to create anything lately. It's starting to really bug me! I just want to color, which is also a bit of a struggle. I keep thinking I need to take a break, but I'm afraid if I do, I will just quit stamping!
I hope you enjoy the sketch and will come join us this week!
My sweet girl. She wanted me to take her picture after I photographed my card yesterday. :) It was raining, so we had a pajama day and were lazy girls yesterday.
So very beautiful Rita!
ReplyDeleteHi Rita, lovin' this card! Really like the textures and the colors you chose. I love the sunflower especially! Thanks for sharing some inspiration this week with all of us!
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous! Nice and neat. Your daughter is so adorable!
ReplyDeleteLovely card,Rita!! Grat color combo! Love the embossing, the scalloped edge and big flower!!
ReplyDeleteSo cute,your little one!!!
LOVE the dramatic look of the brown and yellow colour scheme Rita and that gorgeous bloom! Thank you for the inspiration over at FMS! Hazel x
ReplyDeleteFailed attempts aside, this is pretty awesome. I love that big ol' sunflower!
ReplyDeleteLove this card...I need to do this challenge. I have been throwing away a bunch of trial and errors, too! What is up with that? Maybe we are getting too picky! Well, this one was definitely a keeper!
ReplyDeleteAll your effort wasn't in vain, my friend, as this is a beautiful card and shows no sign of frustration or lack of mojo. Sometimes we do need to take a break. I once went for a whole month without stepping foot in my craft room. When I did sit down to stamp, all the joy of this hobby came back to me. So don't be afraid to step away for a bit. Or just focus on coloring without an end card as a goal. Just color for the love of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful card Rita! I love the yellow and brown together and that sunflower is so pretty! Definitely brings a smile to my face! Sweet Laila! Love the pjs! PJ days are always a big hit at our house!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the detail on that sunflower, and sunflowers always make me happy. We've had a couple of pj days in our house this week, as it has been a wet and cool, dreary Spring break. We all love pj days though.
ReplyDeleteOh Rita I think your cards are amazing! This one is just gorgeous - I love the warm colours you've used and you can't go wrong with that amazing flower die!
ReplyDeleteIt took me FOREVER to get down to this card. I had to stop and study each fabulous creation along the way, and they ARE FABULOUS CREATIONS! As for this card, ANOTHER fabulous creation. You may say you lack majo at times, but I've never seen proof of it. I love your pretty flower against the woodgrain panel, and the scallop edge peeking out makes it even more sweet. Oh, and I love sweet Laila, too!
