Simply Kissed

I made a very quick card for Hope You Can Cling To today.   This one was for Libby's challenge and here's her description:  When your family is faced with this disease, you just want to shower them in hugs and kisses . So how about we do some stampy kissing? I'd like you to make a card using the KISSING TECHNIQUE.

I used my pink ribbon stamp and kissed it with the flourish from an old Sale-a-bration set, Bliss.  I thought it added a cool pattern to it that worked well with the ribbons paper.  I kept the rest simple, just adding some ribbon and a glimmer brad.   The sketch for this was a previous one from Retro Sketches.

Laila got all dressed up to go to Hobby Lobby with me today to find some burlap for another HYCCT card.  We haven't started working on it yet, but stay tuned.  She's up from her nap, so I gotta run.  :)

Valentine Hearts

Tonight I decided to play along with the stampers over at Try Stampin' On Tuesday.   I figured since I WAS trying to stamp on Tuesday, it was the perfect challenge!  I love their sketch this week.  So many possibilities!

In an effort to use up some of my retired things, I've been making some Valentine's Day cards with it.   If there is ever a time to use up red and pink, it is this month, right? :o)   This paper comes from an old Simply Scrappin' Kit that I LOVE.  I'm a bit sad to use it, but I have SO MUCH STUFF and it really needs to get used.   I did  use some of my new heart punches, so it's not all old stuff AND I managed to sneak a few pearls on there too!

Cards & Tags

Above are a couple of cards that I made for a very sweet friend who recently added a new little one to her family.  I love being able to match up my cards to my gift bags!

I was recently asked to make up some bag tags for the consignment shop that carries some of my crafts.   Above are my first attempts.  They are kind of fun to make and I can't wait to work on more ideas!

Loving the Sale-a-bration sets!

Have you gotten your free stamps for Sale-a-bration yet?   I love the selections from this year, especially Bliss.   Here is an example of the emboss resist technique that uses the lovely flourish from the set.   I finally got my En Francais background set and it works great to add a little something to the background.

Stamps: Bliss (Sale-a-bration), En Francais
Ink: Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Basic pearls, clear embossing powder, Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon (retired),
