Pool Party!

I just realized that I haven't posted quite a few of my projects from the July and August Creative Crew challenges.   Not familiar with the Creative Crew?  It's an awesome group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators who work hard each month to design cards for super fun challenges over on Splitcoast Stampers!  We love making sure that there are plenty of cards featuring our wonderful line of products for all to see!   This was a July challenge to use one of the new In Colors.  I chose Pool Party and used my favorite tool and best friend the Color Coach to find the perfect combination for my card.   I seriously couldn't stamp without this thing.  If you don't have it yet, GET IT!   :)

Stamps:  Just Believe
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Not Quite Navy, Pool Party
Paper: So Saffron, ot Quite Navy, Pool Party, Naturals White
Accessories:  So Saffron Grosgrain ribbon (retired)
Tools:  Paper Piercer, Big Shot, Square Lattice embossing folder

Side Note:  I'm disappointed in the quality of photos on Blogger lately.  If you want to see a better image, you can click on the picture and it will show you a larger, clearer picture.

Enjoy your weekend!

Finally, some new cards to show off!

Finally, the last two cards to my upcoming birthday class are designed and ready for cutting!    I LOVE the July Fourth stamp set in the mini catalog; it makes excellent birthday cards!   I used the Color Coach to get a color combination using my favorite, Tempting Turquoise.
Here's the other card that finishes out the class.   I love my new owl punch!   Again, I consulted the Color Coach for some help.   I don't have Early Espresso, but I think Chocolate Chip works as a substitute for now.

Here are all 5 cards together.  I love them and I hope my attendees do as well.   I still have spots available if you'd like to join in the fun on the 20th!

On my last order, I bought some of the Stampin' Up! watercolor paper and OH MY!    I had purchased the aqua painters years ago and never really got results with them.   I didn't realize how much of a difference GOOD watercolor paper would make!   Now I LOVE my aqua painter; watercoloring using it and the markers is so fun!   It adds a whole new look to this timeless stamp set!    I also tried out a new card design on this one.  It is a joy fold card and it was so easy, but looks so neat!

I am super excited because this time next month, I'll be attending the Stampin' Up! regional conference in Ft. Worth.   I can't wait to go!    I am loving all the wonderful perks of being a demonstrator.  Don't you want to join in the fun??

Loving the new Color Coach!

I found this cute card and thought it would be perfect for my first birthday card class.   I didn't have the exact colors that were used on the original, so I pulled out the Color Coach and found some that worked for what I did have.    It is great to have some guidance on what colors work well together because I hate sitting around trying to pair them up myself.   Thanks Stampin' Up! for the wonderful tools that make paper crafts so much easier!
