Stampin' Up! Tag It

Another of my display samples for Convention.  I wanted to do something in some of the bold, bright colors as this stamp seems perfect for a little boy.  To me anyway.  :)   I made a red button using the Simply Pressed clay and molds.

Stamps:  Tag It
Ink:  Real Red, Old Olive, Pacific Point
Paper:  Pacific Point, Real Red Core'dinations, Polka Dot Parade DSP, Whisper White
Accessories:  Simply Pressed Clay and Molds, White Baker's Twine
Tools:  Big Shot, Perfect Pennants die, 2 1/2 circle punch, Stripes EF

Another picture from our beach excursion.   She was VERY upset when she left the water because she loved this rock and shell that she had found.  She tried to eat them a few times, so we figured they were best left in the water.  She was not in agreement.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge

Here's another of my Convention display samples.  This one uses Gorgeous Grunge to make a splatterific birthday card.

Stamps: Gorgeous Grunge, Perfectly Penned
Ink:  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush
Paper:  Coastal Cabana, Strawberry Slush, Whisper White, In Color DSP stack
Accessories:  Ginormous Rhinestones, Basic Rhinestones, White Baker's Twine
Tools:   Big Shot, Tasteful Trim die, Pennant Punch

LOL  You never know what you'll find in the playroom bins!  I guess they are a good place to nap if you are a feline.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge

Sharing another of my display samples today.   This one uses emboss resist again, but this time with the Gorgeous Grunge set.  Simple, but I like it.  :) I wish I'd left the piercing off, but I think this one was made in the middle of our water issue.  We went a few days with no water, I had to move my stamping to the hot dining room because my wall had a leak, and it was just miserable all around.  I think I needed to take out some anger, so piercing it was...  Better paper than people, right?!

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Happy Day
Ink:  Versamark, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay
Paper:  Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, In Color DSP stack
Accessories:  Basic Pearls
Tools:  Heat Tool, clear embossing powder, sponges, small butterfly punch, stabbing tool

Laila and I went to our second home (you probably call it Target) yesterday and she was tired after our shopping.  Even though it is less than five minutes from there to home, she crashed.   I was able to move her to her bed and she stayed asleep.  Now THAT'S tired!  She took two great naps yesterday and ate a ton...growth spurt maybe?

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Meadow

Here's another of my Wildflower Meadow samples that I made for the Convention display boards.  I thought it might be neat to use emboss resist with it and it turned out okay.

Stamps: Wildflower Meadow
Ink:  Versamark, Island Indigo, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight
Paper:  Daffodil Delight, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories:  Daffodil Delight stitched grosgrain ribbon, Island Indigo Baker's Twine, Vintage Faceted button, White Embossing Powder
Tools: Heat Tool, Sponges

Not sure about those faces!  lol  We had a nice day out yesterday going to Archiver's, lunch, and then Costco.   Sunday night was rough, but she crashed yesterday morning for a bit and we were all able to go back to sleep. Once we were up we needed out of the house! Teething is rough on everyone for sure.

Stampin' Up! Wildflower Meadow

Here's another one of the cards I made for the display boards.  I wasn't a big fan of using the entire Wildflower Meadow stamp, but in smaller doses I thought it was okay.  I used the coordinating embossing folder on some Core'dinations paper and thought it made for a fun look.

Stamps:  Wildflower Meadow
Ink:  Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party markers
Paper:  Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, Pool Party Core'dinations, Whisper White
Accessories:  Early Espresso stitched grosgrain ribbon, Basic Pearls
Tools:  Big Shot, Wildflower Meadow EF, sanding block, Finishing Touches Edgelits

Yesterday was a rough day in more ways than one.  Laila has another molar coming in so we were up a lot (2:30 until almost 5) with her.   She was pretty fussy most of the day and had some epic meltdowns.  We did manage to go to the cemetery and release balloons and put out some cheery sunflowers.   After that we come home for a bit and then went to Build-a-Bear.  We let her pick out her own animal and she homed in on this cute bunny and wouldn't let go.  Now we have a cute bunny named Eli for her.

Stampin' Up! Tag It

I thought I'd share another sample I made for the Convention boards today.   We were given the Tag It set, but not the matching framelits so some serious creativity was required to use them.   For me anyway!  I kinda dreamed up the idea for this card and it turned out so cute!  I really had a blast making it.

Stamps:  Tag It, Gorgeous Grunge
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, Baked Brown Sugar
Paper:  Pool Party, Baked Brown Sugar, Whisper White, In Color DSP stack, Daffodil Delight (or So Saffron; I can't remember!)
Tools:  Circle, Pennant, and Cupcake punches

Today would have been my Eli's 5th birthday.  It's so hard to know what to do on his birthday as we can't buy a cake and have him blow out the candles as we sing.  We can't buy gifts for him to open. It's just a sucky day and I usually spend most of it crying over the unfairness of it all.  Laila and I picked out some pretty sunflowers, so we'll take them out to the cemetery and release 5 red balloons I guess.  I was thinking this year we'd get a little cupcake and start to tell Laila stories about him and share it with her.  It's never an easy day and I just hope for the patience and strength to make it through.

Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge

I didn't get any more stamping done yesterday, so I thought I'd share another one of my Convention display board cards.   I think this one is my favorite out of all of them.   I am a big fan of Smoky Slate with Coastal Cabana!  The Calypso Coral really stands out against them too!

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge, Oh Hello
Ink:  Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral
Paper:  Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White, In Color stack
Accessories:  I can't remember what those things are called!  We'll go with In Color Doodads. :)

I let Laila have a little rice cake that we got in the Citrus Lane box and she decided to shove the whole thing in her mouth.   Crazy girl.   She's in extreme temper tantrum mode lately, so I didn't dare take it away from her.  She managed to eat it okay, but from now on she will only get half of one if she gets them.  ;)

Stampin' Up! Hello Lovely

I thought I'd share another Convention display sample with you today.   I love this card!  It's simple, but it uses one of my favorite combination of colors.  I think I'll recreate this one for my sweet Jason.  He's the most wonderful husband and he definitely makes me happy.  :)

Stamps: Hello, Lovely
Ink:  Gumball Green, Marina Mist, Midnight Muse
Paper:  Midnight Muse, Gumball Green, Whisper White
Accessories:  Midnight Muse stitched ribbon

Jason mowed the lawn yesterday, so we let Laila play around in the grass a bit yesterday.   She wasn't quite sure what to do with it.

Stampin' Up! Hello Lovely Laila

For those of you who were at Convention, did you happen to see Laila?  :)   She was there....twice!!!!  I used this cute Instagram picture for my Hello, Lovely page.  It just seemed to fit the stamps so well. I am SO not a scrapbooker even though I started out doing that and not cardmaking.  I struggled to get my three pages made!  To make it more scrapbookish I did go back and add a strip of journaling, but I forgot to retake a picture. My friend Mindy took some pictures of it at Convention, so here it is on the boards:

I'm waiting for her to wake up right now to get our day started.  I just had a bit of time to relax, have a coffee, and do this post.   Jason is working overtime today so it is just me and her.   She was a bit rough yesterday, not wanting to nap and then fussy because she was tired.  I hope it's better today.   12+ hours with no breaks wears me out!   I can already tell that the toddler years are going to be hard ones for me.  July is hard enough (my Eli's birthday is next Friday) mentally for me and adding in a cranky little girl doesn't help.   Maybe we'll get out today and look for some flowers to take out to the cemetery next week.  I'll let her grab the bunch that appeals to her even though she won't understand what we are doing yet.  <3 nbsp="" p="">

Stampin' Up! Gorgeous Grunge Gift Box

I haven't edited all my display stamper pictures yet, so you'll see a weird mix in no particular order. Chaotic, just like my life.  ;)   This is my 3-D item for the Gorgeous Grunge set. You know I had to use my Fun Flowers die for something, right?! I thought I'd play on the dirt/flower idea and used the stamps to make the dirt on my gift box.  I don't know if that even makes sense, but I guess it did at the time I was making it.  The box is just a scored sheet of cardstock, no die or anything fancy like that.   Leaves are hand-cut and scored, again nothing fancy.  (For a tutorial on how to make easy boxes like this, check out SCS.  I used it and just cut off the top.)

Stamps:  Gorgeous Grunge
Ink:  Baked Brown Sugar
Paper:  Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, In Colors stack
Accessories:  Paper Doilies, In Color Boutique Details
Tools:  Simply Scored, Big Shot, Fun Flowers die

Nothing to see here, just reading.

Stampin' Up Hello Lovely

I hope everyone who attended Convention had a great time!   Now that it is officially over, I wanted to start showing you some of the projects I made for the display boards.  The last few days I've been really doubting myself and thinking they weren't good enough, but hopefully someone will find them inspiring.

This card is one of my favorites.  I love the fun colors and the bling!

Stamps:  Hello Lovely
Ink:  Calypso Coral, Versamark
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White, In Colors DSP stack
Accessories:  Epic Day Washi Tape, Basic Rhinestones
Tools:  Big Shot, Stripes embossing folder

Here's Laila in her playroom.  I think you can tell from the picture which "toys" are her favorite.
