Feathers for Fall

I have a fun class this weekend and I thought I'd share one of our designs.  We are going to be doing a one sheet wonder type of class where we make 4 cards from one sheet of 6 x 6 patterned paper.   I'm trying to do a variety of cards, but my first card is a clean and simple Fall one.   I am a bit addicted to this layout and find myself wanting to use it all the time!

We've been having a blast this week with Mom.    We went to our local arboretum on Wednesday and Laila had a blast.  She had so much fun swinging that she didn't want to leave.  :)

Stampin' Up! Wonderfall

It's Freshly Made Sketches Day! :)   Our sketch this week comes from one of the sweetest ladies, Amy.   She is super talented too, so be sure you check out her blog if you aren't already stalking following her. For my card I went back to Fall again because I seem to love it for our sketches lately.   I also love this paper and this stamp set.

Laila and I did a bit more decorating for Halloween in the house yesterday and in one of our bags I found this Halloween bucket that I had bought on clearance last year.  She LOVES it and carried it around all evening.  It was too cute.   She seems to be a big Hello Kitty fan these days!

Stampin' Up! Good Greetings

I'm having a few friends over on Saturday, so I've been designing a few cards for us to make.   As I was looking around Pinterest, I realized that I pin a lot, but never really look back at them.  I decided to do a "spin on pins" class this time and this is the first card.  It was inspired by a lovely card by the amazing Mary Fish.   I think this layout is a great way to use up packs of coordinating papers and some of the scraps I'm sure we all have.   I am going to work up a few other versions for Christmas and birthday I think!

When toddlers pick out their own clothes and accessories...  lol

Stampin' Up! Four Feathers

I saw this awesome card over on the Stampin' Up! blog and just had to make one!  Jen C. really knocked it out of the park with her card.  I might tweak mine a little bit more because I don't love the sequins and feel like it needs a bit of something splattered on it.   We will be making this at my event this weekend, so maybe we can all do our own interpretation and make them all different.  :)

Laila says the best way to eat your peanut butter sandwich is to stick your fingers in and get out all the good stuff.  Don't bother with the bread.  ;)   So silly.   Today we are going to attempt watercoloring.  It should be fun.  It's also my first day to volunteer at the pet store with the cats that are up for adoption.   I hope I can give lots of snuggles and not get too attached.

Stampin' Up! Wonderfall

I seem to pull out this Wonderfall set a lot lately, but it just seemed so perfect for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  Cindy L. created such a fantastic sketch and I enjoyed creating with it so much.  I dusted off some old designer paper that I bought way back in my first year as a demonstrator.  Do you remember it?  I LOVE it.  It's heavier than normal patterned paper and so nice.   I tend to hoard it, but man!  I have SO MUCH paper.   It is time to show it off! Do you have a favorite paper that you can't seem to cut into?  Try it with our sketch this week and let me know that you did.  I'd love to see it!

I miss Fall so much.   Growing up in a state where you get the lovely colors makes it hard to now live in one where you don't.  We need to plan a trip up to see my family so I can show Laila all the pretty leaves and enjoy some real Fall weather.   Maybe next year...

Pardon the messy hair.  She will not leave a bow in and it gets out of control.    She found this bag while we were in my stamp room yesterday and she just had to have it.   She cracks me up because anytime she puts on a purse, she keeps her arm up so that it doesn't fall off.  It's so adorable.
