Scrap Card Sunday Christmas

I didn't forget about my scrap card!  :)   Time almost got away from me today though and I was late getting it made.  This one is pretty simple and easy to recreate.  I just pulled out any strips of Real Red and Old Olive that I had in my bags and started cutting and trimming them to fit.   A pretty bow and a bit of bling and it was done!

Stamps:  Holiday Happiness (retired)
Ink:  Real Red
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, scraps
Accessories:  Real Red satin ribbon (retired), Basic Rhinestones

She loves this book!  Every time she pulls it out she laughs and talks to the animals in it.  She spends more time with her books than any other toys, so I'm hoping for a bookworm like myself.  Jason says he wants her to be well-rounded and not a bookworm. We'll see who gets their wish I guess.  :)

FM34: Chocolate Christmas

Here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project featuring "A Christmas Theme".
  2. Or Make a project using the colors "Aqua, Chocolate and White".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a "Christmas themed project using the colors Aqua, Chocolate and White".

First, I apologize for the late post today!   For some reason, my scheduled post disappeared!   I can't find it anywhere on Blogger, so I have no idea what happened.   Hopefully I didn't create it on the wrong blog or it end up double-posting on this one.   Very weird!

Anyway, the challenge for The Friday Mashup is a fun one this week!    I love any excuse to pull out my Holiday Happiness set and I thought it would be perfect for this challenge.   I don't know why I love this set so much.  Maybe it reminds me of the infamous Charlie Brown Christmas tree?  :o)    To give a bit more interest to my card, I added some bling in the form of Dazzling Diamonds and Basic Rhinestones.

I hope everyone who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving!   We had a great day full of good food and good friends.   I'll try to post a few pictures later this weekend.   If you are out in the Black Friday madness, stay safe!   I'm heading back to bed with my kitties for a bit more sleep!

FM34: Chocolate Christmas

Lesley has a fun challenge for everyone this week at The Friday Mashup.   The challenge is to make a card using Christmas as theme or to use the colors aqua, chocolate, and white.  As always, you can also choose to Mash It Up and do both!   That's what I did for my card:
Holiday Happiness is one of those sets that I just adore.   It reminds me a bit of the infamous Charlie Brown Christmas tree I think.   I thought it would be perfect for these colors!   I added some bling (aka Dazzling Diamonds and rhinestones) to make it shiny like Christmas should be!

I hope you'll head over to the challenge blog and check out what the other ladies created to inspire you!   I can't wait to see what you create!

I love purple in any shade, so I was excited to play along with the colourQ challenge this week.   I think Orchid Opulence must have been before I was introduced to Stampin' Up!, so I did substitute the closest thing I had, Wisteria Wonder.  I also found a new sketch challenge to add to my list, The Stampin' Queens!

Did you see my new embossing folder?!  It is from the Holiday Mini and I LOVE it!

Stamps:  Holiday Happiness, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink:  Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party
Paper:   Wisteria Wonder, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Brights DSP stack
Accessories:  Basic Rhinestones, Rich Razzleberry taffeta ribbon (retired)
Tools:  Big Shot, Snowburst embossing folder, Modern Label punch, Word Window Punch

Oh yeah, I went there...

I know it is WAY too early for Christmas, but I got this new paper in and I just had to play with it.    I'm trying to make some cards to swap at regionals, but I have no idea if this one would be okay or if I should try something else.   If any experienced demos have any advice, I'd love to hear it.   :)

This is a new Christmas set called Holiday Happiness.   I loved the look of it, so I put it on my first order.  It is so different from the other holiday stamps and I like it.    It works great with the Jolly Holiday designer paper; Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler are perfect for the tree and ornaments!
