It's time for a new hop of the Stamp Review Crew! This time we are featuring Oh, Hello. Remember if you get lost at any point, you can always go to the main landing page here. (My post is going to be short and sweet. The charger for my laptop is broken and I have very little battery left. YIKES!)
For my first project I did a simple card with a watercolor wash. I used the chevron stamp to make a couple of banners and embossed the sentiment with black embossing powder. I used the Aquapainter for both the watercolor wash and for the splatters of black. Candy dots, baker's twine, and a button for a bit of embellishment and DONE!
For my second project I wanted to do something bright and cheery. I used the fun colors at Dynamic Duos and some funky chevron designer paper to really make it fun! I also used the sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge. Framelits and my Stamp-a-ma-jig were my friends for this one! :)
Two very different cards with the same set! Fun, huh?!
Two fabulous cards! Great work, Rita! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteI really like your cards with the two very different designs, but my favorite is the first one!

ReplyDeleteGreat cards! I love that second one. The starburst looks fantastic with the chevrons!
ReplyDeleteLove the watercolor wash and the splatters! And the colors on your second card really pop.
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful cards but I especially love your watercolor wash on the first card. The splatters of black are so much fun on there and I love the little banners. Lovely color combos too!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the soft and pretty backdrop with the striking black on that first card ... and when is red, white and blue NOT a good idea? So great! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards! I am in love with the watercolor wash one (although I admit putting full-on black ink on an aquapainter kinda makes me cringe).
ReplyDeleteRita, what fun cards! Love the vibrant colors and the composition!

ReplyDeleteBoth cards are so eye catching! Love the simplicity of the watercolor wash and speckles. That looks like fun to do... each would turn out a bit differently.
ReplyDeleteI love the tilted layers and the watercoloring on the first card, and the preponderance of chevrons on the second! Great versatility shown between the two :)
ReplyDeleteI am such a sucker for watercoloring. LOVE the first card so much. And the second card is so bright and fun - sure make anyone smile. Hope you got a new battery for your computer!
ReplyDeleteI always love watercolor. I love that it's on a black background too. But that blue and red is just fabulous! Thanks so much for sharing your clean and simple style. Love them both. Jess
