If you are on the Internet much at all, I'm sure you've heard the phrase Throwback Thursday quite a bit. I had planned a "throwback" class for next month, but we decided on something different instead. I thought I'd share my cards and maybe even make Thursdays a day to post cards with older sets or DSP. With life as it is right now, we'll see how that goes. lol
I do love the vintage feel of this one. I'm not a vintage girl, but it was fun to find stamps and paper that give the look while still being a clean card that IS my style! Win, win there!
I had a nice day today. Jason was off and gave me the day off too. I got my hair cut, had lunch with friends, and got to spend almost 4 hours chatting with my FMS buddy Jen Timko. It was definitely the break I needed this week and I'm so thankful to have an amazing husband who gets that.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this idea Rita! I won so many retired sets, this would be a great way to get them out and used!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I have this set and haven't inked it up for some silly reason. LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of this card. I like the way many stampers are using retired stamps and papers because we all have them. Just because they aren't new doesn't mean they should not be used. I'd love to see more!

I love this set.....I won't part with mine! And I think it is a great idea to use retired sets......mine sit there so sad and lonely!
ReplyDeleteHad this image on my desk to use yesterday and couldn't make anything look right. Love what you did with this, but I have to ask? Where is my Laila picture for the day? I need those huge blue eyes and smile just to give me some warm fuzzies! Glad you got a day off -- I know how important those are!
ReplyDeleteI am so excited that you got a day for YOU! Maybe you two can make a deal to let you have one every couple of weeks or so...whatever makes sense for Jason's schedule. Love your card and love the idea of having a Throwback Thursday as often as you can make it happen! Did miss a pic of Laila but understand!
ReplyDeleteRita, I LOVE this typewriter! This is such a great card. Thanks for showing us ideas with your retired stamps from time to time. We all have so many of them it is nice to still use them.
