Snarky Cat for Inkspirational 354

Hello,

It's been a long time since I tried to create or blog, but here I am. The past few years have been tough on my mental health, so I'm trying to get back into cardmaking to maybe help a little. :)  I figured I'd start with some Tim Holtz Snarky Cats. The image worked perfectly for the Inkspirational challenge since my kitty is wearing a knit sweater.

I do apologize for my photo quality. I don't have any type of light box set up right now so I just had to snap one as my card was on my desk. The quality really decreased when I emailed it myself from my phone. Normally my phone camera is pretty good! Oh well.  I gotta relearn what I'm doing and come up with a better system. Baby steps.

Play Date meets Inkspirations

Another challenge combo to share today!    I loved the colors from The Play Date Cafe and the sketch from Inkspirations this week.      These two challenges intimidate me, but I decided to play along anyway.  They have some amazing stampers on their design teams, so be sure to go check them out!

I know, I know...Fun Flowers yet again!   It took me over a year to decide to spend the money on that die and now that I have it, I can't stop using it!   It was an investment for me as I'm a bit cheap at times, so I feel like I should make at least one flower card a week with it.  :)   I struggled to figure out which colors to use in each layer, but I hope I chose appropriately.   It was a fun card to put together and I love the purples with the yellow!
Stamps:  None
Ink:  Versamark, So Saffron, Wisteria Wonder
Paper:  Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron
Tools/Accessories:  Big Shot, Fun Flowers die, Fancy Fan Letterpress plate, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, paper piercing tool, In Color Dotted brads, So Saffron grosgrain ribbon (retired), Concord Crush Stitched Poly ribbon, circle punch

Inkspirations Challenge 86

One of the new stamps I got in my last order was this awesome snowman!   Isn't he adorable?!   I couldn't wait to ink him up and the Inkspirations colors were a perfect fit for a fun Christmas card.   To make it even more fun, I decided to try my hand at making a stair-step card.  Thanks to the new Simply Scored, it was so easy to do!  What do you think?   Cute, huh?   :)  In the creating process, I did realize that I could really use a snowflake die.    I'll have to add it to my wishlist!

Stamps:  Snow Much Fun, Season of Joy
Ink: Real Red, Marina Mist, Soft Suede
Paper:  Old Olive, Brights designer paper stack, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Real Red
Accessories:  Brights Glimmer brads, Marina Mist taffeta ribbon, Dazzling Details
Tools:  Blender Pen, circle punches, paper trimmer, Simply Scored, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack

Inkspirations Flowers

I don't know what I clicked on, but I can't get this darn background color behind the text to go away.  Sorry.  I tried and tried and then tried again to fix it.  :(   Forgive me.

This is my card for this week's Inspirations challenge.   I love sketch challenges!   I knew I wanted to use some of my purples today and what goes better with it than green?!    I love Lucky Limeade paired with them!    I took pity on Awash with Flowers and took it off my shelf today.   I don't like it very much.   Even if you use the Stamp-a-ma-jig, the images just do not line up.   Yes, I know they aren't meant to, but I like for my color to be inside the lines.   Maybe one day I'll get on some meds that let me overlap dollies or color outside the lines, but for now I just have to be crazy and stress over that stuff.  :)

Stamps:  Awash with Flowers (sigh)
Ink:  Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade
Paper:  Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Cheerful Treat DSP
Accessories:  In Color Brads (pretty!), Basic Pearls, Concord Crush ribbon

Another Double Challenge

I had planned on making a card for the Inkspirations Color Challenge last night but time got away from me and I didn't get to make it.   As I was waking up this morning, I had an idea for a card and woke up ready to create.    As luck would have, my idea was a perfect match for the Paper Players Clean & Simple Sketch this week, so I have another double challenge card!

You can't really see it in the picture, but I colored in an h and an i with Melon Mambo to add a little hidden sentiment in the A to Z background stamp.

Stamps:  Apple Blossoms, A to Z
Ink:  Basic Gray, Melon Mambo
Paper:  Basic Gray, Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Whisper White
Accessories:  Basic Pearls, Old Olive 5/8 grosgrain ribbon
Tools:  Big Shot, Beautiful Wings embosslit
