Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge

Hey!  Happy Wednesday.  :) How's everyone's coloring going?  I've managed every day so far, but I still have today to do.  I've been busy cleaning, plus our car wouldn't start so no playgroup for Laila. I have been taking stuff to Starbucks and coloring while she's there, so I was sad to not get that little time today.  Anyway, here's one of my coloring attempts from this week.  I used a beautiful set from Simon Says Stamp, so I thought I'd enter it into their Wednesday challenge since it's for a special lady/girl.

I will try to come back and list the supplies, but I have to run and finish up dinner.  I've been trying some new recipes this week and so far so good.  I hope this one is as well.  Anyone else addicted to the Instant Pot?

Oh, someone asked about my Ebay store I think.  I honestly don't have much there as some of it sold and I'm behind on listing new stuff, but here it is.  I'm working on a few more card kits, so stay tuned.

Mojo Monday 478

I took a break from the online Copics class I'm working on to play around with some Brusho and the new sketch at Mojo Monday.  Doing challenges used to be a great way to get back into the groove of stamping and a way to improve my cards as well.  Today I wanted to do a card in the style of Julee Tillman, who is the owner of Verve Stamps.  She has a fun shabby chic style that is way outside my comfort zone, so it was fun to play around and get messy.  :)

I hope you had a fun time ringing in the new year.  I'm old now so I'm usually asleep before midnight, but do wake up when the fireworks go crazy.  Things are different with kids.  Laila is up at 7am every day.  It doesn't matter if she was awake half the night or not, she's up.  ..and so are we.  lol

Power Poppy Sunflowers

Just dropping in with a quick post.  This past week has been rough, so I haven't had much time to create.  I saw that Power Poppy was having a sale on some of their digital images, so I grabbed this pretty sunflower one.  I am so intimidated by their images, but I wanted to try one to see how it went.  I actually love it too!  It wasn't as hard to color as I thought it would be.  I have another one printed out to try again too, so you might see it again soon.  :)

Miss Laila is sick, so I'm off to snuggle with her.  She seems to be congested and coughing so much since she started school.  Last week there was a horrible week for her, so she may not be going for much longer anyway.  :(  We had a second appointment with the psychologist last week and she's now being referred for further testing.  It is getting confusing with one person saying they don't see anything, others saying they do.  I hope some testing will clear up things, but there's a four to six month wait for appointments right now.  Keeping sending lots of positive thoughts our way.  

Now off to snuggle!

DTGD Day I'm So Behind

Okay, honesty here.  I haven't made a card in a very long time that I truly loved and was proud of.  I have been in a major slump and not enjoying stamping that much because I didn't like what I was making.  Now this card?  This card makes me HAPPY!  It's nothing special, but it just makes me happy.  So yay!  This was another DTGD challenge from Splitcoast.  I just got my first set of Verve stamps in today and the sentiment was so perfect.  Isn't that gorgeous?!   LOVE!

This one isn't as fancy as that one, but it also makes me happy.  Why?  It was a technique that was totally out of my comfort zone.  I struggled with it, but I went back and tried again and I did it. That makes me proud of myself.  For those of you who also struggle with depression, you know how failure can feel and how it's hard to get your head back in the game sometimes.  So again, proud of myself for doing it. The stamps in this one are Altenew (flowers) and the Verve set again for the sentiment.

I'm off to clean my desk and see if I have the energy to make another card. I had planned to try to do all the DTGD challenges but that just isn't going to happen.  I hit two rough days and well, that's tough to catch up from!  But at least I did some!  :)
