More Bag Tags!

I finally finished the four designs I'll be offering up for sale!   I had to revamp the butterfly version as the old one just wasn't "me".    I also added in a cute circle design because I LOVE Circle Circus!   I've gotten some great feedback so far, so I hope they go over well!   Thanks for looking!

Cards & Tags

Above are a couple of cards that I made for a very sweet friend who recently added a new little one to her family.  I love being able to match up my cards to my gift bags!

I was recently asked to make up some bag tags for the consignment shop that carries some of my crafts.   Above are my first attempts.  They are kind of fun to make and I can't wait to work on more ideas!

Have you gotten your free stamps for Sale-a-bration yet?   I love the selections from this year, especially Bliss.   Here is an example of the emboss resist technique that uses the lovely flourish from the set.   I finally got my En Francais background set and it works great to add a little something to the background.

Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Basic pearls, clear embossing powder, Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon (retired),

Worst Blogger -->> ME

 Inside:

I had no idea my class was going to have hours of homework every week, so I'm so behind on my cardmaking and blogging.  :(    I do have a workshop/class with my 4 ladies, so I'm super excited about that.  I've been working on cards for them today and here is what I came up with.   The hostess mentioned a pop-up card and loving watercoloring, so I hope she likes these.

Stamps: Crazy for Cupcakes
Paper: Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, Real Red DSP
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds, white embossing powder, markers, Real Red taffeta ribbon

Card #2:
Stamps: Sweet Summer (Sale-a-bration)
Paper: Rich Razzleberry, Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz, watercolor paper

Faux Tile Technique

I attempted the faux tile technique yesterday and I have to say, I HATE this card.   I had an image in my head of what I wanted it to look like and this was so NOT it.  :(    I loved Awash with Flowers in the catalog, but it is one of those stamp sets that gets the better of me every time.   I keep trying, but I can't get a card that I like with it.

Stamps: Punch Bunch (SAB 2011), Awash with Flowers
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango
Ink: Concord Crush, Tangerine Tango, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Concord Crush Ribbon
Tools, etc: Scallop Circle punch, clear embossing powder, heat tool

Sale-a-bration Class/Workshop

(inspired by Laurie)

(inspired by Barb)

(Not my original idea, but it has been recreated so many times that I'm not sure who to credit for the original?)

Here are the 3 cards we are making tomorrow at a Sale-a-bration workshop/class.   The ladies asked for techniques, so I focused on the different looks that can be done with the Stampin' Up! sponges and ink pads.    I love all of them and I hope they will as well.

TLC 307: Mojo Motivator

This time of year is a pretty difficult time for me, so I have been in a bit of a funk with everything.   I finally got myself in my room and made a card today and it did make me feel a little better.   This is for the Try a New Technique Challenge over on Splitcoast this week.   It was titled Mojo Motivator since so many of us stampers seem to be struggling to find our stamping mojo.   :)    For the challenge you had a to pick 3 things from last year's challenges:   a technique, a color combination, and a sketch.    I used paper piercing, Blushing Bride/Riding Hood Red/Early Espresso color combo, and sketch 312.

Stamps:  Valentine Defined
Paper:   Blushing Bride, Early Espresso, Riding Hood Red, Whisper White
Ink:  Blushing Bride, Early Espresso (marker), and Cherry Cobbler because I didn't have the RHR marker
Accessories:  brads, mat pack, paper pierce, Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder

Time for the Red & Pink

I was a bit tired of Christmas cards, so this week I finally got to pull out my new products from the 2011 Occasions Mini Catalog!   I paired my new products with the sketch from Mojo Monday and here was what I came up with.  I had been wanting to try the emboss resist technique FOREVER and finally did it!    Now if I can only learn to tie a bow!

Stamps: Valentine Defined
Paper: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla, Love Patterns DSP
Ink: Real Red, Pretty in Pink
Other: Pretty in Pink 1/8" taffeta ribbon, white embossing powder
Tools: Modern Label punch, brayer, embossing tool
