Cardstock Class

Hey all! I thought I'd pop in and show you some of the cards I've been making for the newest class from Online Card Classes. It is called Crushing on Cardstock and it's been super fun. There's so much packed into the four days of class. It's been so fun!!

Things here are about the same. This week has been a mentally challenging one. Hopefully I can get myself together a bit better. I have been walking at least 30 minutes every night for the past month. I've tried to make that a part of my day that just has to happen. I think I've lost 7 pounds so yay! It's about time for my walk right now, so I'll sign off and go suit up. lol

(Andrea, I swear I saw your email and keep meaning to reply. I am not good at life, but don't give up on me. lol I'm a mess.)

Rainy Days

Hi friends! How are you? Still hanging in there here. Texas has opened back up a lot, but we are still staying home most of the time. We've visited a park and I made a quick trip to Target, but that's about it. I've been stamping a ton, but I haven't been good at posting them. I have been trying to mail them as I make them instead. I hope they bring a little cheer to the days of my friends.

Today's card is for the CAS challenge at Splitcoast. It was to use blues, so I grabbed my distress inks and made a rainy background. Kinda fun!

So that's it for me. I am off to fed the cats and the frogs, make some cocoa, and read for a bit. Have a peaceful Sunday.

Falliday French Foliage

Hey guys! Happy Monday! I've been stamping, but I haven't had time to do posts or upload. I moved my room around and had to set back up my light tent and computer. Jason helped me and I'm finally back up and running! This card is one for the Falliday Fest challenges on Splitcoast. We were asked to use a technique that starts with the same letter as our first name. I haven't done rock and roll in a while, so I decided to grab French Foliage and try it! I need to practice! lol

A pretty Gulf Fritillary from this weekend. I think my butterfly raising is about over. We have a few eggs in the garden, but I need a break. I have one Giant Swallowtail left to feed, but after that it's just waiting on the others to come out and then clean up all my equipment.  I need the break. It's been fun, but it is seriously a lot of work!

For those who asked about the moon background on my MFT Witch Way is the Candy card, it's just a background made on watercolor paper with Brusho crystals. I made it when I first got them and was trying to figure them out. I had put the results in my to-use bin and finally found a way to use them!

Fall Coffee Lovers Hop

I haven't been stamping much lately due to no mojo/life is in the way, but I took a little time to try and make something for the Fall Coffee Lovers blog hop that's going on this week.  Fall and coffee are two of my favorite things, so it kinda had to happen.  lol  I used some dies from Avery Elle, My Favorite Things, and Lawn Fawn along with a sentiment from Wplus9.  And my distress inks of course!  :)

fall-hop-with-date

I'll be back another day to update on Laila and all that's been going on.  We've both been sick and more school issues, so I'm worn out!  I'm heading to relax and listen to a podcast before cleaning and dinner time starts.

Have a great week!

Tag of Gratitude

I've been in the mood for Fall things lately, so I decided to make some tags with my Tim Holtz goodies.  I just love distress inks!  I added a beautiful sentiment from Wplus9 to finish it off.  I think this will be great to put on a loaf of pumpkin bread or some other baked good to give to people around Thanksgiving.  :)

Stamps:  Stampin' Up! Sanded, Stampers Anonymous Halloween Blueprints, Wplus9 Grateful Greetings
Ink:  Ranger Jet Black Archival, Distress Inks (I didn't keep track, sorry!)
Paper: Manila tag, watercolor paper
Extras: Stampin' Up! Vanilla seam binding, Studio Calico wood veneer hearts

She really loves the postcards so much.  We are still getting a few a week and it's so fun to see her get excited.  I need to print a list of states so we can check them off as we get one from there.  :)

Freshly Made Leaves

Wednesday means a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches! Karren is the designer this week and has a fun one!  I messed it up (as always), but I love my card anyway.   I just got some beautiful new dies from Concord & 9th and I had to use them!  Aren't they pretty?  Great way to use up some scrap pieces too.  :)

Stamps:  Wplus9 Grateful Greetings
Ink:  Stampin' Up! Early Espresso
Paper:  SU Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, and SU DSP scrap
Tools:  Lawn Fawn Stitched Hillside Borders, Concord & 9th Layering Leaf dies
Other: Linen Thread, SU Regals Candy Dots, SU burlap ribbon

Isn't that fun?  I love the "any shapes" option because the possibilities are endless!  I look forward to seeing you in the gallery!  Below is my first attempt with the sketch the same products.  I like the second on so much better!

DTGD 2016 Day 3

Back for more cards.  Laila went to school today so I spent the morning stamping!  It was nice and relaxing.  :)   You knew I'd have to pull out the coffee stuff soon and here it is.  :)  I tried Copic no-line coloring which is HARD peole.  H-A-R-D!   I used a set of 5 E40 somethings to get some different, yet cooridanting shades of brown.

Last week I watched an awesome technique video from Kay Miller and I just had to try it out.  It was so fun! I even made two cards because I had so much fun with it.  I used regular Stampin' Up! inks for the ink, so no special inks required.  The stamps are Hero Arts that I got after the holidays on clearance at Michael's.  I'm glad I picked up those up now!

And lastly, a bit more fun with distress inks!  So fun.  I loved the idea of a stormy day, so I added some grays to my rainy way.  I have a friend who has been having a tough time, so I made this one with her in mind.  The stamps are from WPlus9.

And that's all for today.  I don't know how much I'll get done tomorrow.  It is Eli's birthday and I never know how I'll wake up and feel about it.   I can't believe he'd be 8 tomorrow.
