It's Wednesday and time for a new sketch at
Freshly Made Sketches.
Amy is our hostess this week and she had a trendy sketch with some fun angled panels for us this week. It's one that's totally out of my comfort zone, but I love how my card turned out. :) Black and Pool Party are such an awesome combo! I added in some Sweet Sorbet paper (free during Sale-a-bration) and a lovely layered flower that I cut with my Cameo. Easy, but I think the colors make it a pretty striking card!
I can't wait to see the gallery this week. So many possibilities!
We just bought Laila a water table to play with outside and it was warm enough on Saturday for her to play. She LOVED it. She played for about 2 hours nonstop! Unfortunately it's been all bad weather since then, but we hope for that to go away so we can splish splash some more!
This is gorgeous, Rita, I am LOVIN' that sketch. The photos of Laila are beautiful...do you use a certain setting to get the background to be blurry like that? I love them! She's getting cuter by the minute!

ReplyDeleteThat is a very striking color combo and a great looking card. I love black, but sometimes find it hard to use. You struck the perfect balance. What a great thing for Laila...she's so cute!
ReplyDeleteLove this card Rita! I totally love Pool Party and black together! They are indeed striking colours! That flower is fantastic! I wondered how you cut it!!! Laila looks to be having a blast! Our sand box is currently a snow box....spring will come soon right?!

ReplyDeleteYour card is fabulous...agree that the colors are fabulous and I'm waiting for the free DSP to come hopefully next Monday....would love to CASE your card! Except for the flower and especially the black center...love it but do not have a cutting machine! Darling pictures of Laila....never heard of the water table but looks like such fun!
